Undergraduate Research Opportunities
The Nguyen Lab welcomes motivated undergraduate students who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in ornamental plant breeding, propagation, genetics, tissue culture, greenhouse production, and field evaluation.
Undergraduate researchers may assist with projects involving seed germination, plant propagation, tissue culture, greenhouse and field trials, data collection, photography, laboratory work, and evaluation of ornamental traits. Students will have opportunities to learn how research projects are designed, conducted, documented, and communicated.
No previous research experience is required. We are looking for students who are dependable, curious, willing to learn, and able to commit consistent time to the lab. Opportunities may be available through volunteer research, academic credit, or internships, depending on current projects.
Students interested in joining the lab should email Dr. Chi Nguyen with:
-
A brief description of their interests and career goals
